Need Your Calls This Week!
AB 1282 (Bloom/Wilk), the California Pet Blood Bank Modernization Act, will have its fate determined by the Senate Appropriations Committee next Thursday, August 26th.
Please make three calls to let the Chair, Vice Chair, and the Senate Pro Tem know that it is critical to pass AB 1282 this year!
As you may remember, this bill is an answer to a 2019 veto message from Governor Newsom. The canine blood slaves in cages have waited long enough. Please do not delay in making your phone calls. Thank you for your help.
Need these three calls made as soon as possible,
urging leadership to release AB 1282
from the suspense file and
support it on the Senate Floor.
Here is a Tweet for those who use Twitter:
Let’s get dogs out of cages and ensure California veterinarians have enough life-saving blood to give to their canine patients by passing #AB1282! This bill is a reply to @CAgovernor veto in 2019 – dogs can’t wait any longer! @Portantino @SenToniAtkins @SenatorPatBates
Please share and spread the word to make these important calls. And please, consider making a donation to support our vital work.
