SAVING AND PROTECTING ANIMALS. ONE LAW AT A TIME.

Good News – AB 1282 Passes Senate Business & Professions Committee!

Thank you once again for your calls and support letters!

Today, AB 1282 (Bloom/Wilk), the Pet Blood Bank Modernization Act, passed the Senate Business, Professions & Economic Development Committee with a unanimous vote.

Californians overwhelmingly support the licensing of community-based blood banks for all animals and to phase out closed-colony (caged) dog blood banks. Next, the bill will be voted on in the Senate Appropriations Committee. Please keep an eye out for our next call to action on this important bill as we still need your help – two more steps to make it to the Governor’s desk to be signed into law!

Please share the good news with friends and family who love animals like you do! And please, consider making a donation to support our vital work, it is very costly to have a professional team of lobbyists working for the animals in Sacramento!

Thank you for your help,
