Young Marvel Hero will use her voice and influence to advance animal protection laws

Funding is available on a competitive basis to shelter / veterinary facilities that are registered and in good standing with the Veterinary Medical Board, overseen by a manager licensed and in good standing with the Veterinary Medical Board, and operated by one of the following: a California city or county; city and county; an animal care or control agency; or a nonprofit meeting the requirements of Section 501(c)(3) of the federal Internal Revenue Code that is registered and in good standing with the Secretary of State.

We invite you to consider Social Compassion in Legislation (SCIL), our 501(c)(4), or Social Compassion, our 501(c)(3), when deciding where to invest your charitable dollars. Our two groups only exists with the donations provided by our supporters. It is because of you that we have been able to pass groundbreaking legislation that has saved the lives of millions of animals across the globe and provided humane education to thousands of children in California.

The goal of the California Spay and Neuter License Plate Fund, Inc. continues to be realized. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, created in 2010 by Judie Mancuso, Dr. Gary Michelson, and Linda Starr among others, including the support of Keely and Pierce Brosnan, who donated his artwork for the license plate, was created for the purpose of supporting free spay and neuter programs throughout California.

As a resident of Orange County, California for the past 25 years, this is the first time our congressman has spoken out for the animals! The seat was held for 30 years by Dana Rohrabacher, who was no friend to the animals.

Last month, we sent out a call to action asking all of you to contact House of Representative leadership to alert them of the horrific conditions faced by animals being transported by the United States Postal Service (USPS) and call for a moratorium.
